The Euro 2016 group stage match France-Albania (2-0, Group A) at the Stade Velodrome (Marseille) drew an average of 13.8 million viewers on the French private, free-TV channel TF1, on Wednesday, 15/06/2016 (kick-off at 21:00 CET), according to data from Médiamétrie, the French institute of audience measurement.

This figure represented an audience share of 52.4%, and allowed TF1 to achieve the best performance in the French TV market for prime time on 15/06/2016.

The opening match of Euro 2016, France-Romania (2-1) at the Stade de France (Saint-Denis), drew an average of 14,442,000 viewers on TF1, with an audience share of 54.8%, on Friday, 10/06/2016 (kick-off 21:00 CET).
