David Beckham endorses Chinese company Auto Rental

The signing of a partnership between David Beckham and Auto Rental, a Chinese car rental company has been brokered by IMG, the sports marketing company representing the interests of the former PSG player, on the 24/06/2013. This is David Beckham's first partnership since he announced his retirement from football on the 16/05/2013. Beckham is the footballer who received the most revenue in 2012/13, earning up to €36m.

The announcement comes following Beckham's second visit to China as an ambassador of the CSL (China Super League). "The combination of the 10-year anniversary of the CSL, the 20^th anniversary of professional football in China and the global appeal of David Beckham practically ensures that every young person in the country will have a new found interest in the game. We expect that David's presence in the country will be massively important in popularising the sport," said Mike Dolan, chairman and CEO of IMG. The worldwide marketing agency, IMG, have a 10-year contract with the CFL as a sponsor and strategic partner.
