EBU: Belgium's Jean-Paul Philippot (RTBF) re-elected president until 2018

Jean-Paul Philippot, the general director of the Belgian channel RTBF, was re-elected president of the EBU until 2018 by the 76^th General Assembly of the Union, held in Becici (Montenegro) on 17/06/2016. This is the fifth consecutive term of the high Belgian official, who has held office since 2009.

"Protection and promotion at a European level, elements that give public service media uniqueness, modernising the governance of the EBU, developing solidarity programs that the EBU intends to extend to members in difficulty, supporting innovative plans of the EBU in the creation of original content and new technologies," are the priorities for the new term of the president of the EBU mentioned during his acceptance speech.
