Spain: Lots 1, 3, and 4 of the TV rights to Mediapro for the 2016-2019 period (€55.8m per year)

Mediapro has acquired Lots 1, 3, and 4 of the tender for the TV rights to the Liga BBVA, the Copa del Rey and the Liga Adelante for the 2016-2019 period, announced LaLiga on 20/06/2016. The Spanish audiovisual group, which exceeded the floor price for each of these lots, will pay €55.8m per year, and may sell part of these rights via sublicense.

• Lot 1 includes one Liga BBVA game during each matchday of the championship, second choice, live and exclusively for free-TV - excepting games involving Spanish teams playing in European cups.
• Lot 3 includes weekly summaries of Liga BBVA, Liga Adelante and Copa del Rey matches for free-TV.
• Lot 4 includes six games of the Liga Adelante each matchday of the championship, second choice, live and exclusively for free-TV.

The new tender for the remaining lots was initiated on 01/06/2016. Lots 2 and 5 have not yet been awarded for lack of bids at the floor price. LaLiga is launching a new round for these two lots, and interested broadcasters have until 28/06/2016 at 13:00 CET to submit the latest bids.
