Italy: Fox Sports Italia acquires TV rights for the Bundesliga for the 2017-2021 period

In Italy, Fox Sports Italia has acquired the broadcasting rights for the Bundesliga for the 2017-2021 cycle, announced the Italian pay-TV group on 20/06/2016. These rights, acquired from DFL Sports Enterprises, cover all distribution platforms. In Italy, Fox Sports is only available to Sky satellite package subscribers.

"Acquiring the Bundesliga rights for another four years confirms that we are the home of the big European leagues. Our multi-year investment is an important signal: Fox Sports is an increasingly important player on the Italian market," said Marco Foroni, managing director of Fox Sports Italia.

Fox Sports Italia has extended its broadcasting rights, in Italy, to the Liga BBVA for the 2015-2018 cycle, announced the Italian pay-TV group on 17/07/2015. The rights, acquired from the Spanish audiovisual group Mediapro, cover all distribution platforms.
