Premier League: Richard Scudamore is against the "Brexit"

"If Brexit comes about (the result in which the United Kingdom would leave the European Union), we would be in an uncomfortable situation," said Richard Scudamore, executive chairman of the board of the Premier League, on 20/06/2016.

The UK referendum on its continuation or not within the European Union is being held on Thursday, 23/06/2016.

"Brexit would be inverse to the openness of the Premier League. You can not completely break away, you will have to negotiate, organise, and influence. There is a process (in place) of opening up the Premier League and Brexit would be totally incongruous to where we're heading," added Richard Scudamore, to the BBC, on 20/06/2016.

"The idea that we can take charge of our own destiny once we are outside the European Union does not seem logical as now we can travel the world and be welcomed everywhere because we are open for business, discussion and cooperation," reaffirmed Richard Scudamore.
