Dexter Goei (USA) was named chairman and CEO of Altice USA, announced the media and telecommunications group on 20/06/2016. He succeeds Patrick Drahi, although "as founder of Altice and controlling shareholder, he will continue to set the strategic, operational and technological agenda and chair of the group to that end as part of an advisory committee," said the multinational telecom operator.

Dexter Goei will aim to "continue to lead the mergers and acquisitions of Altice globally". Regarding his new position in the US, he will aim to integrate the Suddenlink group of cable operators, acquired by Altice for $9.1bn in May 2015 (€8.29bn at the time), and Cablevision, acquired for $17.7bn in September 2015 (€15.8bn at the time).

Dexter Goei leaves his CEO duties at Altice N.V., which he had held since 2009. He was replaced by Michel Combes, Chairman of the Board of SFR, a subsidiary of Altice.
