Dafabet, a Philippine sports betting and online gaming operator, became the main shirt sponsor of Burnley FC (promoted to the Premier League in 2016-17) for two seasons (until 2016-2018), on 15/06/2016. This is a record contract for several million pounds, said the club. The amount is valued at nearly £5m per season (€6.5m on 23/06/2015).

Under the partnership, Dafabet also gains visibility on the advertising boards around Turf Moor (22,619 seats), as well as on all of the club's communication platforms. In addition, the betting operator will also sponsor the kits of all Burnley FC youth teams, but they will not display an "offering" in any "Burnley FC in the Community" space, which is the club's CSR program.

In the Premier League, Dafabet is also the principal shirt sponsor of Sunderland AFC. The brand succeeds Oak Furniture Land (furniture) as the main shirt sponsor of Burnley FC. During the Lancashire club's last season in the English top flight (2014-15), the main shirt sponsor was the Asian online betting operator Fun88.
