FIFA : Sepp Blatter receives a petition from Solidar Suisse for "a fair World Cup in 2014"

Sepp Blatter, FIFA (International Federation of Association Football) president, received a petition of 28,000 signatures, requesting "a fair World Cup in 2014", led by Esther Maurer, director of Solidar Suisse, in Zurich on the 24/06/2013.

"The FIFA president welcomed the initiative. Dialogue between FIFA and Solidar Suisse will continue later this year, with a meeting due to take place in the autumn," said FIFA.

"Sepp Blatter has promised to engage the dialogue in favour of a fair World Cup. He explained that FIFA are taking protests seriously and that they are ready to invest alongside the Brazilian government in order to promote better working conditions for the construction of future stadiums," Solidar Suisse declared.
