Amazon: the US e-commerce group has its eye on sports rights (NFL, Bundesliga)

The US e-commerce group Amazon has continued its development regarding sports rights and partnerships with the acquisition of broadcasting rights for Bundesliga matches on the web and mobile platforms for the 2017-2021 cycle, concluded with the DFL, on 09/06/2016.

The DFL reached an agreement with Amazon Video, the VoD platform of Amazon, announced the German football league on 06/04/2016. This partnership will run until 2016-17, and provides for the broadcast, on German territory, of two programmes entitled "Great Matches" and "Legends of the League".

Amazon's interest in sporting content was highlighted by the partnership signed with NFL Films, a subsidiary of the NFL dedicated to producing audiovisual content, who announced the completion of a series about the NFL - titled "All or Nothing" - which will be broadcast exclusively on Amazon Video, announced Amazon on 21/03/2016.
