Sponsorship: Karen Fan is the new CEO of the European Sponsorship Association

Karen Fan was appointed CEO of the ESA (European Sponsorship Association) on 22/06/2016. She comes from Repucom, an agency specialising in the measurement and evaluation of sports marketing, where she was a manager and director of studies since 2012. Karen Fan succeeds Helen Lamb at the ESA, who had occupied the role since 2007.

The organisation is under the direction of Karen Earl, president of the ESA, and the board of directors of the association. Their objective is to "elevate standards in sponsorship", through training, resources, networking and events organisation for its 180 members (sponsors, rights holders, agencies, consultants and suppliers).

Karen Fan has over 20 years of experience in market studies and research, as well as with sponsors and brands. She has collaborated with the City Football Group - the holding company which owns Manchester City FC (Premier League) - and with the car brand Jaguar Land Rover.
