Euro 2016: 15.2 million watch England - Iceland in the UK on ITV (audience share: 60%)

The Euro 2016 Round of 16 match England - Iceland (1-2), at the Allianz Riviera (Nice), drew an average of 15.2 million viewers in the UK on the private free-TV channel ITV, on 27/06/2016 (kick-off at 21:00 CET).

This represented an audience share of 60% for ITV, who produced the best performance in the British television market for prime time on 27/06/2016. ITV reported a peak audience of 16.9 million viewers during stoppage time in the second half.

This is the best British TV audience since the England - Uruguay match(1-2, Group D of the 2014 World Cup) which drew an average of 18.5 million viewers on ITV (audience share: 67.8%), on Thursday, 19/06/2014, at 21:00 CET.

  • For the full broadcast dedicated to the England - Iceland match, from 20:00 to 23:30 GMT, on Monday 27/06/2016, ITV drew an average of 11 million viewers, for an audience share of 48%.
