Euro 2016: nearly 15 million viewers in Germany for England - Iceland on ARD, on 27/06/2016

The Euro 2016 Round of 16 match England - Iceland (1-2), at the Allianz Riviera (Nice), drew 14,960,000 viewers on average on the public channel ARD in Germany, on Monday, 27/06/2016 (kick-off at 21:00 CET).

This figure represented an audience share of 47%, and allowed ARD to achieve the best performance of the day in the German television market on 27/06/2016.

The Italy - Spain (2-0) Euro 2016 Round of 16 match, at the Stade de France (Saint-Denis), broadcast from 18:00 CET, was also on ARD and drew an average of 14.34 million viewers in Germany, for an audience share of 55.5%. This was the second best performance of the day in the German television market on 27/06/2016.

7.16 million viewers in France for England - Iceland on M6 (audience share: 29.7%)

  • In France, the England-Iceland (1-2) match drew 7.169 million viewers on average on the private, free-TV M6.
    • Audience share: 29.7%
    • This was best performance in the French TV market for prime time on 27/06/2016.
  • The Italy-Spain (2-0) match drew 6.293 million viewers on average on the private free-TV channel TF1.
