Africa: Infront and TV Media Sport sign distribution agreement for 2016 Olympics in 6 new countries

Infront Sports & Media signed a broadcast deal for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro for six sub-Saharan countries, announced the Swiss marketing and media rights agency on 22/06/2016. This agreement, in partnership with the agency TV Media Sport, includes Nigeria, Angola, Kenya, Mozambique, Congo and Ivory Coast.

The agreement covers audiovisual rights for live broadcasts and for free-TV on all platforms - terrestrial, satellite and cable - and internet and mobile platforms (not exclusive for digital platforms). Coverage of the opening and closing ceremonies is included, as well as at least six hours of daily programming of events.

"We signed with the most populous countries in Africa, with the largest delegations. TV Media Sport crews are 130 people strong for the 2016 Olympic Games and they will produce special programs focused particularly on three African athletes languages: French, English and Portuguese.
