UEFA will distribute a total of €301m to the 24 participating teams in Euro 2016. This represents "a substantial increase", said UEFA on 11/12/2016, recalling that €196m had been distributed for Euro 2012 in Poland / Ukraine and €184m for Euro 2008 in Austria / Switzerland.
