Euro 2016: 9.2 million viewers for Poland - Portugal on TF1 in France (audience share: 42.9%)

The first quarter-final of Euro 2016, Poland - Portugal (1-1, Portugal won 5-3 on penalties) at the Stade Velodrome (Marseille), drew an average of 9.195 million viewers on the private, free-TV channel TF1, on Thursday, 30/06/2016 (kick-off at 21:00 CET), according to data from Médiamétrie, the French institute of audience measurement.

This figure represented a 42.9% audience share, and allowed TF1 to achieve the best performance in the French TV market for prime time on 30/06/2016.

Additionally, TF1 also managed to achieve the best TV audience in France for a Euro 2016 game, excluding those of the French national team (see below).

  • The next two quarter-finals, Wales - Belgium at Stade Pierre Mauroy (Lille), on Friday, 01/07/2016 (21:00 CET), and then Germany - Italy, at the Stade Matmut-Atlantique (Bordeaux), on Saturday 02/07/2016 (21:00 CET), will also be broadcast live on TF1.
  • The last quarter-final, France - Iceland, on Sunday, 03/07/2016 (21:00 CET) at the Stade de France (Saint-Denis), will be broadcast on the private, free-TV channel M6.
