Manchester City FC (Premier League) launched a new website, which "highlights the club's investment in innovation as well as fans commitment and interaction," on 30/06/2016.

"We’re entering a new chapter, embracing the changing habits of a booming social and highly mobile audience, and are excited to launch this fresh digital experience for our rapidly growing fan base nationally and across the globe," said English club. The club went online in March 2016 with a beta version of the new site to enable its fans to test and respond to satisfaction surveys, and so to better tailor the site to their needs.

The site URL is "www.mancity.com", replaces "mcfc.co.uk". "Shifting to .com better reflects the Club’s global reach, in line with both other football clubs and other global organisations. And mancity was chosen over mcfc as this is the language most commonly used to describe our Club, supported by search results showing that fans refer to us as mancity four times as much as mcfc, both in the UK and internationally," said the Mancunian club.
