Barça: Camp Nou naming rights for over €200m, plus three candidates to be the main shirt sponsor

"In the next semester (six months), we will begin the commercialisation of the Camp Nou’s naming rights. It seems that the figure we will receive will exceed €200m," said Josep Maria Bartomeu, president of FC Barcelona (LaLiga), during the 2016-17 opening presentation press conference of the club, on 30/06/2016.

FC Barcelona's socios validated the urban project "Espai Barça", which includes the renovation of Camp Nou, at a cost of €600m, on 05/04/2014. The new Camp Nou will have a capacity of 105,000 covered seats. The work should begin in May 2017 and end in February 2021. In April 2014, the club announced a contribution of €150m via naming rights to finance part of the renovation of its facilities. "Espai Barça's funding arrangements will be much better for the socios than we thought. We have been very conservative in our calculations and we hope that it will be good news. There is no need to worry about the project," said Josep Maria Bartomeu.
