Premier League : ITN to produce News UK highlights packages (2013-2016)

Production company ITN has won the contract to produce News UK's Premier League football highlights for the internet and mobile sites of The Sun, The Times and The Sunday Times, ITN announced on the 24/06/2013.

News UK (know as News International until the 26/06/2013) acquired the digital rights to Premier League for the 2013-2016 period for an estimated amount of £20m (€23.3m) in January 2013.

The contract signed with ITN provides the production of 9,500 videos per year, from the beginning of the 2013/14 season on the 17/08/2013 to the end of the 2015/16 season. At each match, 15 journalists will produce up to eight 30-second videos at halftime and after the final whistle, as well as longer highlights packages supplemented by archive and studio footage.

News UK will offer this on-demand content with a subscription cost from £2 (€2.30) per week.
