Bundesliga: Audi extends deal as automotive partner of Borussia Mönchengladbach until 2020-21

The German automobile manufacturer Audi has extended its partnership (2^nd level) with Borussia Mönchengladbach (Bundesliga) as a co-sponsor for three more seasons, on 01/07/2016. Audi has been the official automotive partner of the German club since 2012-13, and the contract, originally scheduled until the end of the 2017-18 season, has now been extended until 2020-21.

The automobile manufacturer began its partnership with the "die Fohlen" ("The Foals", the nickname of the club) in 2004 as a premium partner of Borussia-Park (59,724 seats), inaugurated on 20/07/2014. "This early contract extension is the result of successful and sustainable partnership, which is exactly what we want to continue in the coming years," said Toni Melfi, head of communications at Audi AG.

"Audi is one of Germany’s biggest brands and for us they are an important, reliable and faithful partner, which also has a strong connection with Borussia Mönchengladbach when it comes to fan appreciation. We’re looking forward to continuing our work together," said Stephan Schippers, the CEO of Borussia Mönchengladbach.
