"Fecafoot's elections appeals board...has taken the decision to annul Fecafoot's elective general assembly of June 19," the Cameroonian federation's appeals board indicated on the 26/06/2013.

Iya Mohammed had been re-elected as Fecafoot's president on the 06/19/2013, despite being in prison awaiting trial for alleged embezzlement.

The reason for the annulment of the election is "a violation of the federation's rules and regulations". The outgoing vice-president of Fecafoot, John Begheni Ndeh, and Marlène Emvoutou, Iya Mohammed's unfortunate opponants, approached the appeals board to request the annulment, due to the absence of the elected candidate.

The federation's new executive committee, elected on the 19/06/2013, has decided to appeal to the CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport), according to Fecafoot on the 27/06/2013.
