In an initiative taken by Toronto FC (MLS), a one day contract has been offered to a young fan with a serious heart condition, on 01/07/2016.

Murphy Malone (11 years old) participated in a training session with the professional team, as well as a press conference, during which he was questioned by journalists. His file has been added to the Canadian club's squad list on their website for the duration of his contract.

The young supporter was also honoured during the match against the Seattle Sounders (1-1), on 02/07/2016. A special seat was reserved for him in the stand, and he was able to go into the Toronto FC dressing room after full-time. All Murphey Malone's activities were relayed on the club's social networks.

Chosen for his commitment to the club, "Murphy’s experience, dedication and love for soccer and Toronto FC is truly inspiring" (Tim Bezbatchenko, on 01/07/2016)
