Euro 2016: Paris mayor Anne Hidalgo to reward the fans of Ireland and Northern Ireland on 07/07/2016

Anne Hidalgo, Mayor of Paris, will present the Medal of the City of Paris to the fans of Ireland and Northern Ireland, at the Eiffel Tower fan-zone (Paris) this Thursday, 07/07/2016 at 19:45 CET, just before the broadcasting of the Euro 2016 semi-final between Germany - France (kick-off at 21:00), at Stade Vélodrome in Marseille.

"This decoration rewards the exemplary sportsmanship of the supporters who contributed to turn this competition into a great festival. Whether it is in the streets of Paris or in the stadium, Irish fans were able to support their teams to the very end in a remarkable way, providing Parisians and visitors from all Europe with an unforgettable memory of friendly, happy and unexpected shared moments," said the Mayor of Paris in a statement on 05/07/2016.

In addition to Anne Hidalgo, Jean-François Martins, assistant to the Mayor of Paris in charge of sports and tourism, and representatives of the supporters of Ireland and Northern Ireland will attend the ceremony.
