Media : Eurosport come to Samsung smart TV

Samsung, the South-Korean electronic appliances manufacturer, are launching Eurosport Player, a web TV app for the international sports TV channel, on its Internet-connected Smart TV in 40 European countries, Eurosport announced on the 26/06/2013.

Eurosport Player is available to download from Samsung TV Apps Store in 13 languages: German, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Dutch, English, Danish, Romanian, Russian, Swedish, Czech, Finnish and Norwegian. The app will not be available in France and Monaco, amongst other countries.

For a monthly subscription fee, the sports app will give Samsung Smart TV's customers access to Eurosport, Eurosport 2 and Eurosport News, which represents over 5,000 hours of live sport every year including coverage of the Tour de France, World Championship Athletics, the Australian, French and US Open (tennis), Africa Cup of Nations (football) and the full 2013/14 wintersports season.

Since the 13/06/2013, Samsung Smart TV have provided their French clients with the MCS TV app, offering the TV group's four themed channels (Ma Chaine Sport, MCS Extrême, MCS Bien-être…
