Euro 2016: "Host cities need to start planning now" (Valerie Fourneyron)

"It is essential that we anticipate the hosting of spectators and visitors for Euro 2016 to ensure their safety," Valerie Fourneyron, the French Minister of Sport, Youth and Community Life told NTF at the presentation ceremony for the Euro 2016 logo, in Paris on the 26/06/2013.

"Host cities need to start planning now to ensure that spectators and visitors are welcomed in the best conditions. We have set a deadline of the end of 2013 to define these hospitality programmes outside the stadiums. I hope these programmes include everything that makes sport in this country what it is today: clubs, volunteers, coaches and more broadly, all those who want to take part in Euro 2016 and be proud of their country," said Fourneyron.
