Euro 2016: Portugal - Wales draws 10.01 million viewers in France on M6 (audience share: 41.7%)

The first semi-final of Euro 2016, Portugal - Wales (2-0) at Parc OL (Lyon), drew an average of 10.018 million viewers in France on private free-TV channel M6, on Wednesday, 06/07/2016 (kick-off at 21:00 CET), according to data from Médiamétrie, the French institute for audience measurement.

This figure represented an audience share of 41.7%, and allowed the channel to achieve the best performance in the French TV market for prime time on 06/07/2016. This was also the best audience in France for a game not including the French team during Euro 2016.

The final quarter-final of Euro 2016, France - Iceland (5-2) at the Stade de France (Saint-Denis), drew an average of 17.179 million viewers in France on M6, on Sunday, 03/07/2016 (kick-off at 21:00 CET), which represented a 60% audience share, peaking at 19.3 million viewers, and enabled M6 to achieve it's best audience since its creation in March 1987.

The final of Euro 2016 will be also broadcast by M6 in France, on Sunday, 10/07/2016 (kick-off at 21:00 CET) live from Stade de France.
