The first semi-final of Euro 2016, Portugal - Wales (2-0) at Parc OL (Lyon), drew an average of 3.65 million viewers in Portugal on RTP1, on Wednesday, 06/07/2016 (kick-off at 21:00 CET). This figure represented an audience share of 75.4%, and allowed the channel to achieve the best performance in the Portugues TV market on 06/07/2016, and also made the game the most watched TV programme in Portugal thus far in 2016.

In Italy, the match drew 6.58 million viewers on average on the public channel Rai1. This represented an audience share of 29%, and allowed Rai1 to achieve the best performance of the day in the Italian television market on 06/07/2016.

In Spain, the Portugal - Wales match drew 5.61 million viewers on average on the free-TV channel Telecinco. This represented an audience share of 39.9%, and allowed the channel of the Mediaset España group to achieve the best performance in the Spanish television market on 06/07/2016.
