Euro 2016: the FFF will receive €26.5m from UEFA in victory and €23.5m in defeat

Thanks to the qualification of France for the final of Euro 2016, after their semi-final victory against Germany (2-0 at the Stade Velodrome in Marseille, on Thursday, 07/07/2016), the FFF is already assured to receive a minimum payment of €23.5m from UEFA, who will distribute a total of €301m to the 24 participating teams (€196m was distributed in 2012 and €184m in 2008- note that there were only 16 participating teams for these editions of the Euro).

On top of the €8m paid to each of the 24 participating teams the French team gained €2.5m in performance bonuses during the group stage (€1m for the 2-1 win against Romania, €1m for the 2-0 win against Albania and €500,000 for the 0-0 draw against Switzerland). France, who topped Group A, gained an extra €1.5m thanks to their qualification for the knockout stages then a bonus of €2.5m for qualifying for the quarter-finals and then an additional €4m for reaching the semi-final stage which altogether totals €18.5m.
