France, Austria, Israel, Netherlands, Poland, Scotland and Switzerland are the seven countries that have expressed an interest in hosting the finals of the Women's Euro 2017, UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) announced on the 28/06/2013.

These seven countries have been invited to attend an observer programme at Women's Euro 2013 in Sweden, from the 10 to 28/07/2013.

It is not certain that France, host country for the Euro 2016 men's competition, will maintain its candidacy for the Women's Euro 2017. The decision of the FFF (French Football Federation) is still pending.

The UEFA Women's Euro 2017 will be contested by 16 teams playing a total of 31 matches following a decision taken by the UEFA' Executive Committee on the 08/12/2011. This year's finals in Sweden will involve 12 nations playing 25 matches.
