Euro 2016: Portugal-France final draws 1.46 million beIN Sports subscribers in France

The final of Euro 2016, Portugal - France (1-0, after extra time) at the Stade de France (Saint-Denis), drew an average of 1.465 million subscribers - with a peak audience of 1.563 million - on the pay-TV channels of the beIN Sports group in France, on Sunday, 10/07/2016 (kick-off at 21:00 CET), announced Florent Houzot, editorial director of beIN Sports France, via Twitter.

This represented close to a 50% share of subscribers: "Passing the 3 million subscriber milestone was the channels' objective for the competition, and we have reached our goal," Florent Houzot previously said to News Tank Football, on 25/06/2016.

The final also drew an average of 20.827 million viewers in France (approximately 31.5% of the total French population) on the private, free-TV channel M6. This figure represented a peak audience of 23.4 million, with an audience share of 72.9%, and allowed M6 to break the channel's audience record - as well as post the best audience, in France, of the competition across all channels.
