Euro 2016: 1.2% audience share for free-TV channel L’Équipe 21 (+50% compared to the 2014 World Cup)

The free-TV channel L’Équipe 21 recorded, during Euro 2016, an average audience share of 1.2%, announced the L’Équipe group on 12/07/2016. This represents an increase of 50% compared to the 2014 World Cup. L’Équipe 21 recorded its best ever week with a 1.4% average audience share between 13 and 19/06/2016.

The daily sports newspaper L'Equipe said, for its part, sales growth of 20% was recorded during Euro 2016, compared to the average of sales over the June - July period in 2015, and up 33% on average from January - May 2016. The average daily paid circulation of the French newspaper was 219,124 between January - May 2016, and 227,057 on average per day from June 2015 to May 2016, according to figures from the ACPM, which tracks media in France.

For its digital side, L’Équipe announced 10 million daily visits during Euro 2016, up 30% over the period compared to the average number of the visits during January - May 2016, including a record week from 13 to 19/06/2016, with 75.8 million visits.
