Euro 2016: 206.7 million viewers in Italy for the 26 games broadcast on Rai channels

The Italian public television group Rai drew 206,727,000 cumulative viewers for its broadcast of 26 of the 51 games of Euro 2016, for an average of 7.95 million viewers per game.

The highest mark, in Italy, for a Euro 2016 game was for the quarter-final between Germany - Italy (1-1, Germany advanced 6-5 on penalties), which drew an average 16.5 million viewers on Rai1, on Saturday, 02/07/2016 (kick-off at 21:00 CET), for an audience share of 66.34%. Germany - Italy also drew an additional 3.109 million viewers on three channels of the pay-TV Sky Italia group (Sky Sport 1 HD, Sky Calcio 1 HD, and Sky Sport Mix HD), for a combined audience share of 12.45% of those channels.

Sky Italia did not release all of its audience figures for Euro 2016, but the three channels of the pay-TV group drew 5.93 million viewers for the nine games for which Sky Italia was the exclusive broadcaster, or an average of 659,000 viewers per game.
