Swansea City: GWFX, Chinese online trading firm, named new shirt sponsors for €2.3m for next season

Chinese financial firm GWFX (Goldenway Forex) have signed a shirt sponsorship deal with Swansea City (9th in the Premier League in 2012/13 and League Cup winners) for the 2013-14 season, on the 01/07/2013. The contract, worth an estimated €2.3m is the most lucrative sponsorship in the Welsh club's history. In 2012/13, Swansea City were sponsored by 32Red, an online casino.

GWFX want to develop their presence and visibility in the UK through this partnership. "It is the first time Goldenway have invested in football sponsorship and we are honoured that they have entrusted us to carry their brand into the Barclays Premier League and the world stage," said Leigh Dineen, Swansea City's vice-chairman.
