ESPN: 18 hours of eSports competitions broadcast in one day, on 17/07/2016

The American sports pay-TV group ESPN broadcast 18 hours of eSports on ESPN2 and ESPNU, on Sunday, 17/07/2016. The channel announced this plan on 01/07/2016.

The programming began at 10:00 in the morning (US Eastern time) with replays of previous competitions. The final of "Street Fighter V World Championship" (a two dimensional street fighting simulation video game) was held in the Mandalay Bay Events Centre in Las Vegas (12,000 capacity), and was broadcast live from 22:00 Eastern time on ESPN2. The entire programme was available on WatchESPN, the channel's OTT platform.
