Ligue 1: Dutchman Patrick Kluivert appointed "director of football" at Paris Saint-Germain

Former Dutch international Patrick Kluivert has been named "director of football" at Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1), announced the club on 14/07/2016.

"Under the direction of Paris Saint-Germain Chairman and CEO, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, Patrick Kluivert will play an active role in the national and international development of the Club and will also be charged with defining the club's long-term sporting strategy, for which he will be, amongst other roles, a leading ambassador. He will also engage in liaising with the biggest clubs and players in the world," stated Paris Saint-Germain.

Within the Parisian club, Patrick Kluivert (40 years old) will oversee the work of Unai Emery, the new manager of PSG, and Olivier Letang, assistant team manager. Having played in four of the five Top 5 championships during his playing career (all but the Bundesliga), the Dutchman will also work "in collaboration" with Jean-Claude Blanc, the CEO of Paris Saint-Germain.
