Russia 2018: Russian bank Alfa-Bank becomes first "regional supporter" of the next World Cup

Alfa-Bank, the number one commercial bank in Russia, became the first "regional supporter" of the 2018 World Cup, hosted in Russia from 14/06 to 15/07/2018, announced FIFA on 18/07/2016. This is a third level partnership in the sponsorship pyramid of the FIFA World Cup (see below).

Alfa-Bank has the status of regional supporter for Europe, and as such can activate its partnership not only in Russia but also around the entire European continent. "As a Regional Supporter for Europe, Alfa-Bank will activate sponsorship initiatives around the 2018 World Cup and the Confederations Cup 2017 across Russia and the European continent, where it has 745 offices and branches. Alfa-Bank will also support FIFA on a number of ticketing-related projects with the aim of enhancing services to fans," said the international federation.
