NBA: partnership with Twitter to create and distribute exclusive content from 2016-17

The NBA and Twitter have signed a partnership that allows the social network to obtain exclusive and original programing live for its Twitter, Vine, and Periscope platforms from the 2016-17 season, announced the NBA on 19/07/2016. The duration of the agreement has not been disclosed.

This flagship partnership will include live pre-game programming before games, free to all Twitter users. The NBA also says it will produce more videos for their Twitter account for major events of the season (the NBA Draft, the All Star Game, and the Playoffs). The NBA has not announced any game being broadcast live or on-delay on the social network. Additional exclusive programming broadcast on Twitter will be announced before the start of the season in October 2016.
