France: Financial Protocol between the FFF and the LFP for the 2016-2020 period

"A Protocal has been concluded between the French Football Federation and the French Professional Football League setting out the financial arrangements between the two legal entities, and the parameters of the latter regarding operating rights of the competitions it organises," reads Article 1 of the new FFF-LFP Financial Protocol agreed for the 2016 to 2020 period, and will formally came into force on 01/07/2016.

It is this text, Article 7 outlines that "the LFP agrees to pay each year to the FFF a single financial contribution in support of amateur football which will be calculated up to 2.5% of the basis consisting of audiovisual rights negotiated by the LFP (...) and revenues from the LFP regarding sports betting. This contribution can not be lower than a guaranteed minimum set at €14.26m."
