"Clubs really have to get young fans into the building. And there is no league that has done a better job with the pricing strategy than the Bundesliga," stated Mark Pannes, the former CEO (March 2013 to January 2016) of the Stadio della Roma project for AS Roma (Serie A TIM), in a conference posted on the "Leaders in Sports" website on 21/07/2016.

"You have to sell your building out. A big issue right now, with ticket prices escalating, is that families start to move away from going to every match, and instead going to only a select number of matches, and then watching a select number of matches on TV," said Pannes.

"So if you don't have your building priced right, and you're not bringing in young fans and making the club a part of their DNA and part of what they do every other weekend (for home games), then when they get to an age we they have the ability to pay for their own entertainment, and their relationship with the club is only through a screen, they're going to buy a really nice screen.
