UEFA: Aleksander Ceferin, Michael van Praag, and Angel María Villar Llona, presidential candidates

"Three candidates have officially submitted their candidacies for the position of UEFA President ahead of the deadline of 20/07/2016," UEFA announced on 22/07/2016.

• Aleksander Ceferin (SLO), president of the Slovenian Football Federation
• Michael van Praag (NED), president of the Dutch Football Federation
• Angel María Villar Llona (ESP), president of the Spanish Football Federation

"The election will take place at the 12^th Extraordinary UEFA Congress on 14/09/2016 in Athens (GRE)," said UEFA. There are the 55 member federations within UEFA who will elect the president, each having one vote. The elected candidate will preside until the next Ordinary UEFA Congress, scheduled for the first half of 2019 (year before the next Euro tournament).
