Bundesliga: SV Darmstadt 98 to offer free tickets for low-income supporters

SV Darmstadt 98 (Bundesliga) will reserve, as in previous seasons, free tickets to unemployed persons, pensioners, and children from large families to allow them to support their local team, at the Merck-Stadion am Böllenfalltor (17,000 seats), announced the club on 13/07/2016.

The operation is organised in partnership with the social services of the municipality of Darmstadt in Hessen (region including Frankfurt, in central-west Germany). Supporters can get free tickets provided they live in the Darmstadt and receive social benefits. For each match, if demand exceeds supply, ticket allocation will be decided by a lottery.

"Corporate social responsibility is important to us and we want to provide Darmstadt residents the opportunity to come and see their team at the stadium. That's why we are happy to provide a number of free tickets for the 2016-17 Bundesliga season," said Markus Pfitzner, vice-president of the club, on 13/07/2016.
