FC Barcelona: Konami (JPN, video games), becomes premium partner of the club from 2016 to 2020

Konami Digital Entertainment, a Japanese video game publisher, became a premium partner of FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) for three seasons (2016-2019), on 26/07/2016. This second-level partnership gives Konami, editor of the football simulation franchise PES (Pro Evolution Soccer), global partner status of the Spanish club.

Konami succeeds their main competitor, the US video game publisher EA Sports (2013-2016), as a "video game" partner of FC Barcelona. Konami will launch a special edition of "Barça" in their PES 2017 game, of which the launch in Europe is scheduled for 15/09/2016. As part of the agreement, Konami has the exclusive rights to 3D modelling of the Camp Nou and players of the club. The PES 2017 game will also incorporate the Barça anthem and historical kits of the Catalan club.

This partnership gives Konami visibility on the advertising boards at the Camp Nou, throughout the stadium, on interview boards, as well as on FC Barcelona's digital and social platforms. The Japanese publisher also has access to the club's players for its own marketing campaigns.
