Villarreal: an interactive shirt, in partnership with Joma and Shazam, to celebrate their CL return

Villarreal CF (LaLiga Santander) and their kit supplier Joma have launched an interactive shirt to celebrate the club's return to the Champions League in 2016-17, on 08/07/2016. The club, located in the Valencian Community of Spain, finished 4^th in LaLiga in 2015-16, and will play in the qualifying play-offs for the 2016-17 Champions League (first leg on 16 or 17/08, return leg on 23 or 24/08/2016).

"La camiseta que te enseña Europa" ("the shirt that teaches you about Europe") aims to help Villarreal fans get to know the European cities that their club will visit in 2016-17. To do this, the wearer of the shirt will have to launch the Shazam mobile application, an app focused on music recognition software, which, since since May 2015, has offered a visual recognition feature: therefore the user activates the camera on their phone and scans the Villarreal badge on their shirt, which will then launch an audio guide which will allow the shirt wearer to know more about the sites that surround them.
