IOC: the "Olympic Channel" to be launched at the end of the 2016 Games in Rio, on 21/08/2016

The IOC will launch its "Olympic Channel" after the closing ceremony of the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games, on Sunday, 21/08/2016, announced the International Olympic Committee on 27/07/2016. The "Olympic Channel" will be a digital platform available worldwide on all media, including via the olympicchannel.com website.

The content will be primarily in English, however viewers will be able to access subtitles in nine languages "with the goal of providing a new way to engage young people, fans and new audiences in the Olympic Movement, the Olympic Channel is a free platform that will present original programming, live sports events, news and highlights offering additional exposure for sports and athletes all year round," said the IOC on 27/07/2016.
