Massimo Moratti, Inter Milan president since the 26/02/1995, is prepared to sell all or part of the Italian club to Indonesian businessman Erick Thohir, eldest son of the industry tycoon Teddy Thohir. "There will be further meetings in the coming days," according to Moratti on the 01/07/2013.

Erick Thohir, who wants a 60% stake in Inter, is prepared to buy 30 or 40% immediately, provided that he has the option to purchase a majority stake in the club in the coming months or years. Thohir already owns the MLS (Major League Soccer) franchise DC United (Washington DC, USA).

"Both parties want to finalise," Moratti stated at the end of June 2013.

Erick Thohir would be willing to acquire 100% of the club for an estimated sum of €250m to €300m.

  • Inter finished the 2012/13 season in 9th place in Serie A.
