At the start of the 2016-17 season the most represented kit suppliers in the Sky Bet Championship are the German brands Puma and adidas, who each equip six teams of the 24 clubs in the English second division. Matchday 1 of the 2016-17 Championship season is from 05/08 to 07/08/2016.

Puma is the kit supplier of Barnsley FC, Huddersfield Town FC, Newcastle United FC, Reading FC, Rotherham United FC, and Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, while adidas equips Birmingham City FC, Brentford FC, Cardiff City FC, Fulham FC, Ipswich Town FC, and Nottingham Forest FC.

The American brands Umbro (Blackburn Rovers FC and Derby County FC) and Nike (Brighton and Hove Albion FC and Preston North End FC), as well as the Italian brand Kappa (Leeds United FC and Wigan Athletic FC) all equip two teams each.
