LaLiga: Marathonbet (betting) become the main shirt sponsor of Málaga CF for two seasons (2016-2018)

Marathonbet, a British sports betting and gambling operator, became the main shirt sponsor of Málaga CF (LaLiga Santander) for two seasons (2016-2018), with an option for a third, on 02/08/2016. The agreement also provides Marathonbet with visibility on the training shirts of the Andalusian club, as well as on the advertising boards of their stadium, La Rosaleda (30,000 seats).

In Spain, Marathonbet domain names are managed by the company Mediaplay Solutions SA, property of the Marathon Group. The operator began operations in Spain on 28/01/2016. "In many ways, this sponsorship symbolises the success of Marathonbet in the European market over the last few years. It will help us create the foundation and the confidence for offering our Spanish customers very good fees, impeccable customer service and a betting experience for sporting events that very few can offer," said Viktor Hoffman, the director general of Marathon Bet.

The Málaga CF shirt has been devoid of any main sponsor since June 2015, the end of their partnership with UNESCO (2011-2015, without financial endowment)…
