FIFA: "No violation of the FIFA Code of Ethics (FCE) has been committed" by Gianni Infantino

"After conducting both preliminary and formal investigation proceedings, the investigatory chamber of the independent Ethics Committee has decided to conclude its investigations concerning FIFA President Gianni Infantino. It was found that no violation of the FIFA Code of Ethics (FCE) had been committed by Mr Infantino," stated FIFA, on 05/08/2016.

The ethics committee of FIFA opened these investigations as a result in suspicion of violations of the FIFA Code of Ethics by Gianni Infantino, president of the International Federation since 26/02/2016. Of the topics which were discussed were flights taken by Gianni Infantino during the first months of his presidency as well as his refusal to sign a contract on the conditions of his working relationship with FIFA.
