The private, pay-TV groups Canal+ and beIN Sports France share the majority of TV rights for the major football competitions in Europe (Germany, England, Italy, Spain and France) in French territory for the 2016-17 season, including Ligue 1, Domino's Ligue 2 (together, €748.5m per year over the 2016-2020 cycle) and the Champions League.
