France: expanded devices for STATS, provider of official statistics for the LFP (2016-2020)

STATS, a company specialising in the capture and analysis of sporting data, and the LFP launched expanded delivery devices for data and statistics for the 2016-2020 cycle, the LFP announced on 10/08/2016. The entirety of Ligue 1, Domino's Ligue 2, and the Coupe de le Ligue will be covered. The LFP was already working with the agency Prozone (which was acquired by the STATS on 05/05/2015) during the 2012-2016 cycle.

STATS acquired three of the four lots in the tender in February 2016 to become the supplier of "official data and statistics" of the LFP, on 15/04/2016. This appointment corresponds to the specifications in the tender for broadcasting rights of Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 for the 2016-2020 cycle.

STATS collects raw data directly, both event-data (with the ball) and "tracking" data (without the ball). It produces, notably, pre- and post-match reports for LFP, plus supply the international TV channels with live data. All reports contain "alerts", or select highlights edited by the STATS team.
